Welcome to Faith Alive!

Edmonton Catholic Schools provides a Catholic education that inspires students to learn and that prepares them to live fully and to serve God in one another, yet we cannot do this alone. Our parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, and fidelity serve as the rule. (CCC, 2223) Our families are a vital part of our school division and we want our students together with their families to use this website as a tool to freely explore and discover the beauty of our faith. Through prayer, worship and study, we grow to become active witnesses to the love of Jesus Christ. Let us all build Bethlehem everywhere that we go.

Jubilee 2025

Every 25 years since 1300, the Catholic Church holds a special celebration called the Jubilee Year. This is a time of reset, where the land and the people rest and we focus on our relationships with others and with God. The 2025 Jubilee will officially open on December 24, 2024, at 7:00 PM, with the rite of Opening of the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter by the Holy Father, who will then preside over the celebration of the Night Mass of the Lord's Birth inside the Basilica.
